Overview
This is a course that will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and is designed to help staff involved in the handling of food to give them a better understanding of important aspects of food hygiene and safety. It also details the different potential causes of food poisoning and how to avoid this. Methods explained in this course to avoid food poisoning occurring within a care setting includes avoiding cross-contamination, practicing proper personal hygiene, and ensuring food is stored and prepared correctly.

The course also contains a case study and an assessment to test learners' understanding, with a requirement of 80% to pass.
