Overview
This module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and is designed to give staff a better understanding of the principles and procedures of first aid and how they are applied in a working environment should an incident occur.

This course will detail how to perform CPR in both adults and children, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and how to provide appropriate first aid for a person having a heart attack. It will also demonstrate how to recognise choking and anaphylaxis symptoms in adults and children and the appropriate emergency responses for each of these emergencies. It also explores the relevant first aid procedures for further incident types including burns, severe bleeding fractures, asthma attacks, and seizures.

The course also contains a case study and an assessment to test learners' understanding, with a requirement of 80% to pass.
