Overview
This course will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and aims to help staff learn about how to safely move and handle loads, recognising the risk factors involves and minimising the risk of injury.

It will cover organisational and individual responsibilities for moving and handling, and the relevance of taking an ergonomic approach to manual handling. The course will also detail how to undertake a risk assessment prior to undertaking any moving and handling activity, as well as the principles of safer handling and how to maintain good back care.

The course also contains a case study and an assessment to test learners' understanding, with a requirement of 80% to pass.
